Making a family blog

Kathy emailed me to ask if there was an internet way to have the family stay in contact. I did some checking and found that Blogging is the best way.

A blog is an online journal that automatically updates with new entries and can include photos and videos. A blog can also include links to other family member blogs and photo albums.

To create a blog click on the blog link below you will create a blog user name, password and a Google account. You will be able to begin immediately.

Once you have a blog download Picasa (below) this a Google program that will collect all the photos on your computer and makes it easy to organize them. With Picasa, you create an online photo album. You click on a picture in Picasa, click the album button and that picture is uploaded to your online album, or click on the blog button and the picture is uploaded to your so you can include it in your next blog entry.

If everyone in the family makes a blog and we include them in all our links we can keep up with everything everyone is doing and easily share photos or videos.
