Sawyer Meets His Parents
On March 4, Sawyer was thrilled to finally meet his parents, Amy and Kory. His excitement slightly subdued after he met all the other contributors to his gene pool. Seeing Kayla gave him some hope and Trudy assured him that some intelligence could be expected but gran pa Pete depressed him. Kory said the birth was easy for Amy, I'm sure some discussion occurred after that.

Adam and Susan's Wedding
What a nice weekend, the weather was perfect, the plans were made, plus Adam and Susan were ready. We had the rehearsal on Friday at St Benedicts Church, afterward we went to Happy Joe's for the meal. There were at least 60 people there. It was a marvelous evening for everyone. On Saturday we only waited to hear if anyone needed us to do some last minute detail. There were no requests. Pictures began at 11:00 and went on till 1:00. Pictures of the rehearsal, wedding and reception are in the family pictures link to the right. Susan's uncle Greg Grant took the photos and we are so impressed with the difficult job that he did so well.
Darlene Frana did a great job keeping everything moving and organized. The wedding went off without a hitch except for Mark tripping over Susan's train, I have heard of people nearly being killed by a train but I never thought I would see it. Mark is fine and is a trooper to so selflessly trying to entertain all gathered, thanks Mark. The wedding party left in a packed motor home to tour the watering holes of Decorah. The reception was at Knobhill, north of Decorah. They served a good ham dinner and a fun dance. It was a lively dance with no real calamities.
I wish to thank family and friends for making a tremendous evening for Adam and Susan Peterson. To see or order pictures of their wedding, click on the link to the right that says Adam and Susan's Wedding, you can get 1 hour printing of pictures at Walmart and pick them up.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Days at Burr Oak
We had an exciting day at Burr Oak. Amy is on the Laura Days Commitee, so we went there with Jared. It was a nice day and we had fun. Here are some pictures of Jared in a 3 legged race and Kory (Amy's new Husband) and Jared, when they won the balloon toss. There is a nice photo of Amy and others on the Laura Days Committee. It was hot, it was cool, it rained, the weather changed constantly all day long.
